Hammerhead II Backplate
In spite of the current explosion of steel prices we still include our great 316 marine grade steel in all of our plates. Many of our competitors use 304 stainless but we don't do business that way.

In fact, we give you a 10 gauge plate for less than our competition charges for an 11 gauge plate. At .135 we are the thickest standard plate on the market. We've been referred to as the "Cadillac" of backplates. Our plate weighs 5.5 lbs without the harness and a full 7 lbs with it. We also include a shot blast satin finish, a process that virtually eliminates the need for hand de-burring. This plate also includes the slots for the sta-less wings and the great Hammerhead hand grips. We also offer a model without the handgrips for those of you that prefer a more Spartan appearance.

If you want a shiny mirror finish or a colored plate in ten different sizes, look elsewhere, that's not what we're about.
